Inclement Weather Policy:

The teachers at Acting Up Children's Theatre always seek to make sure its students, staff and community are well informed about breaking news related to the class/performances. The notification policy for the cancellation of classes due to extreme cold, snow or ice is as follows:

The decision to cancel classes is made by the Superintendent of Schools/Cabarrus County Schools based on the recommendation of his administrative team, including Facilities, Transportation, Safety and Security and the Executive Cabinet.

Acting Up strives to notify the public of the cancellation of classes as soon as the decision is made. In many cases this notification should occur no later than 10:00am.

Notification of the cancellation of classes will be made to all major radio and television stations. An email notification will be sent out through your child's teacher - per class.  A notification will also be placed on the main page of the
Acting Up site.
